Privacy

Privacy.

The short version. I use a few cookies to see whether my marketing works. Not to sell you anything behind your back, and not to follow you around the internet. You decide whether they’re allowed.

Who’s in charge here

FewerBits, which is me, Merlijn Linschooten. High Tech Campus 27, Eindhoven. KvK 98113488. Questions go to merlijn@fewerbits.io.

What I collect, and why

Cookies, only after you click Accept. HubSpot and Google Analytics then tell me which pages you read, which buttons you click and where you came from. That shows me which story works and which one only works on me. :)

Before you click anything, Google Analytics gets an anonymous signal without cookies: “someone looked at the Sprints page”. No profile, no name.

Hosting and fonts. Vercel serves the site and Google Fonts serves one typeface. Both see your IP address for a moment, because that’s how the internet delivers things.

Booking a call: your name, email and whatever you type in, stored in HubSpot so I show up prepared.

Email or a phone call: I keep the conversation, because I’d like to remember it.

Legal basis

Analytics cookies run on your consent. Changed your mind? Click “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Your bookings and emails I need to answer you, and to do the work if we work together.

Who else sees it

HubSpot (CRM and bookings, data stored in the EU), Google (Analytics and Fonts) and Vercel (hosting). Some of that may pass through the US, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. I don’t sell your data. Nobody would pay much for it anyway.

How long I keep it

Analytics data: 14 months, then it’s gone. Contacts: as long as we’re in touch, plus what the tax office requires once we’ve worked together. Want out sooner? Say so.

Your rights

You can see, correct or delete what I have on you, take it with you, or object to how I use it. One email is enough, and I’ll sort it within a month. Still not happy? You can complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
